The use of hot stones in healing treatments dates back thousands of years by the Chinese who used them as a means of improving the function of internal organs. North America, India, Egypt and Africa also have a history of using stones as part of healing.

A variety of stones will be used throughout the treatment ranging in size and shape.  All are smooth and feel lovely against the skin.  By the very nature of the treatment the stones will be heated to a reasonably high temperature.  However, at all times the client will be in control and if the stones feel too hot the temperature will be lowered.  

This treatment is not suitable for anyone with high blood pressure due to the heat involved.  Please see below details of contraindications for this treatment.
